You might be a little tired of hearing about the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) but bear with us; we just want to let you know what we’ve done to comply with GDPR and how it affects you.

We’ve always been careful to treat the information you provide us with respect. We’ve never sold or passed information to third parties, and we’ve always made sure your data is secure. But with something as big as GDPR, even we had to make a few alterations to the way we do things.

Naturally, along with everyone else, we had to make some changes to our small print, mostly to make it clearer how we’re protecting your information and respecting your privacy. You’ll find our updated privacy policy, as well as our new cookies policy online.

We’ve also made a few changes to our website so that, for instance, you can now choose which updates you receive from us by visiting the new contact preferences centre in the ‘Your details’ section when you sign in to our online quotation service, Elite. We’ve separated all of our communications into categories, so it’s easy for you to select precisely what kind of messages you receive from us.

But if you’re happy to let things continue as they used to, don’t worry. Nothing will change on a practical basis unless you decide you want it to. And you don’t have to tick any boxes to make sure you keep receiving your quote and policy documentation either; they’re emailed to you as part of the contract between us. So, if you’re happy with the way things are, you don’t have to do anything at all.
