“Business Development” means many things to many people, but at Countrywide it means a team dedicated to forging and maintaining strong relationships with our customers and providing them with a service tailored to their needs.
In the last edition of intouch, we introduced you to Duncan, our new Business Development Manager, and we thought you’d also like to meet his team and find out a little about what they do.
Duncan, Tom and Clare are often out on the road visiting our customers. They’ll frequently travel with one of our underwriters, so you can pick the brains of someone who handles your enquiries on a day-to-day basis. They also deliver presentations, which include an insight into how we underwrite and how we handle claims using real case studies.
The focus of these visits will always be on finding ways to help you. Whether your firm could benefit from a monthly account arrangement, demonstrations of our online services, or integrating your systems with ours, no request is too outlandish; our team will always be happy to find a way to meet your needs.
We’d love to visit all our customers, but there simply aren’t enough hours in the day. So, while Tom and Clare criss-cross the country, Melissa, Ray, and Sadie are back in the office, talking to customers by phone or via email. We could write pages about the services they provide, but, amongst other things, they’re often:
creating reports on request, outlining the insurance your firm orders
assisting with any queries about our online service, Elite
checking in to ensure you’re happy with the service you’re receiving
arranging events with our customers such as cheese and wine evenings and seeking feedback and ideas on what we could do to make their Countrywide experience even better.
